Katy is originally from Yucaipa, CA. She graduated from Vanguard University in 2002 with a B.A. in Communication. As a student at Vanguard, she was very involved in the Music Department, Frontline, and Student Government. She is grateful for the doors this involvement opened, and the once in a lifetime opportunities she was able to experience. After graduating, she spent a year abroad, teaching at an international school in Haiti. Upon returning to the states, Katy found herself back at Vanguard University to work in the Financial Aid Office and completed her MBA at VU in May 2010. She hopes every student that comes to Vanguard will find his or her own passions, and allow the countless opportunities available to them change their lives. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, including her cat and 2 pups, and baking.
Katy works with freshmen from Hawaii and freshmen recruited athletes.
Jason Fletcher

Jason Fletcher is originally from Ontario, CA and graduated from Vanguard University in May 2008 with a B.A. in History & Political Science. As a student at Vanguard, he served as a leader in the Frontline Ministry, Outreach Department, and as a Huntington Hall Resident Assistant (RA). He worked as an Admissions telecounselor and intern and worked at MIKA CDC (Community Development Corporation) in Costa Mesa helping underserved youth and community development. He is currently pursuing his M.A. in Management at the University of Redlands. He is an active member of Free Chapel in Irvine, CA. In his free time he loves to work out at Crossfit idoG in Huntington Beach, travel to different states, read and mentor his high school students.
Jason works with California freshmen from Los Angeles and Riverside counties.

Krista is originally from Yakima, WA. She graduated from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA in May 2012 with a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies. Krista is a licensed minister in the Assemblies of God. While a student, she served in Residence Life as a Resident Assistant and Apartment Representative, as well as a mentor to high school girls in her church. Her experience in student leadership developed a strong passion for student pursuits and success in higher education. Krista is excited to be a part of launching students into an extraordinary college experience at Vanguard! A northwest native, she is a connoisseur of coffee and enjoys running, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Krista works with California freshmen from the extreme Northern counties, Imperial and San Diego counties, and all non-California states excluding Arizona and Hawaii.
Stacie Leach

Stacie is originally from Anaheim, California and graduated with a B.S. in Biology with a Pre-Med Emphasis from Northern Arizona University in 2007. As a student at NAU, she was a Resident Assistant, Orientation Counselor, Assistant Conference Manager, and worked in the Registrar’s Office. She returned to Southern California to work as an EMT on an ambulance in Los Angeles and Orange County as well as in an Emergency Room for three years. Soon after, Stacie decided her passions lied in Higher Education and returned to Northern Arizona University to receive a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership – Higher Education in 2012. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking or running with her golden retriever, Sierra, surfing, reading, and watching or learning to play ice hockey.
Stacie works with all transfers, excluding recruited athletes, and freshmen from Arizona.

Marci is originally from Porterville, CA. She attended University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. Marci then moved on to California State University, Long Beach where she graduated with a M.S. in School Counseling. Marci has a background in K-12 education, where she has worked as an instructional assistant, after school program director and school counselor. While out in the field Marci developed a love for higher education and decided to join the admissions team at VU. Marci is excited about working at Vanguard and encourages students to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities Vanguard has to offer. In her spare time, Marci enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and trying new restaurants.
Marci works with California freshmen from the Central Coast, Central Valley, and High Desert – Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Tulare and Ventura counties – and transfer recruited athletes.

Christy is originally from Placentia, CA. In May of 2011 she graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and minor in Business Administration. While in college she studied abroad at Oxford University in England and traveled to India to participate in global outreach. She is passionate about higher education and student development throughout the transformational college years, which drove her to work in admissions. This year, Christy will be pursuing her M.A. in Leadership Studies at Vanguard University. In her free time, Christy can be found at the beach with her friends, reading at a coffee shop, and planning her next travels. She is excited for students to take advantage of the local and global outreach opportunities that Vanguard has to offer!
Christy works with California freshmen from the San Francisco Bay Area – Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Stanislaus counties – and Orange county.
Kristi Pruett

Kristi is originally from Newark, CA. She heard the siren’s call and transplanted to beautiful Southern California to attend VU in 2004. She graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Performance/Directing. While at VU, Kristi was a resident assistant for Catalina Hall and a student worker in various departments on campus in addition to being involved in theatre productions on campus. When Kristi is not working, she enjoys acting in local theatres, sewing, reading, hanging out with her husband while trying to convince him to buy her a puppy, and drawing dinosaurs.

Susan was born and raised in beautiful Southern California where she graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Religion. Throughout college and post graduation, she has enjoyed working with non-profit organizations focused on serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. Susan is currently pursuing her M.S. in College Counseling and Student Development at Azusa Pacific University. She is passionate about higher education and empowering students to make the most of their college experience. She enjoys road trips, reading, listening to NPR, playing with her Labrador Retriever, Abby, and being an aunt to her two nephews. Susan is excited for all of the students who are about to start their college adventure and encourages them to dive right in and get the most out of all that Vanguard has to offer!
