Susan was born and raised in beautiful Southern California where she graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Psychology. Throughout college and post graduation, she has enjoyed working with non-profit organizations focused on serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. She joined the Vanguard Admissions Team in December of 2007 and loves the strong community of students, faculty and staff here. Susan loves road trips, reading, listening to NPR, going to the beach, and most of all playing with her beautiful Labrador named Abby. She is excited for all of the students who are about to start their college adventure and encourages them to dive right in and get the most out of all that Vanguard has to offer!

Amanda is originally from Clovis, CA. She graduated from Vanguard University in May of 2009 with a B.A. in Communications, and a minor in Music. As a student at Vanguard, she was very involved in the Music Department and was a part of Vanguard Singers and Band, Concert Choir and the Beautyshop Quartet. She is grateful for the doors this involvement opened, and the once in a lifetime opportunities she was able to experience. Amanda hopes every student that comes to Vanguard will find his or her own passions, and allow the countless opportunities available to them change their lives. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys being artistic- whether it be through music, scrapbooking, baking, or re-decorating her home.
Amanda works with California freshmen from Mariposa, Monterey, Mono, San Benito, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Stanislaus, Ventura, and all counties north of these in California, AK, WA, OR, NV, and re-admits.
Lindsey Bickford

Lindsey is originally from Snohomish, WA. In April of 2011 she graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A. in Advertising and minor in Multimedia Design. While in college she spent a year studying in Florence, Italy and a summer interning in London, England. She is passionate about higher education and the life changing experiences that take place in college, which drove her to work in admissions. Lindsey loves to spend her free time at the beach with friends, running, traveling and eating frozen yogurt. She is excited for students to discover all the amazing opportunities Vanguard has to offer.
Lindsey works with California freshmen from Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties, and freshmen from all other states (excluding AK, HI, NV, OR, and WA).
Jason Fletcher

Jason Fletcher is originally from Ontario, CA and graduated from Vanguard University in May of 2008 with a B.A. in History & Political Science. As a student at Vanguard, he served as a leader in the Frontline Ministry, one year as a Huntington Hall Resident Assistant (RA), worked as a telecounselor and Intern in the Admissions Office, and worked at MIKA CDC (Community Development Corporation) in Costa Mesa as a dance teacher and Assistant Art Director. He also enjoys serving as a youth leader for a group of 7th and 8th grade guys at St. Peter’s Church in Huntington Beach. In his free time he loves to hang out with his closest friends, eat at Chipotle, mentor high school kids, teach hip-hop, and go white water rafting.
Jason works with California freshmen from Inyo, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
Marci Kimura

Marci is originally from Porterville, CA. She attended University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. Marci then moved on to California State University, Long Beach where she graduated with a M.S. in School Counseling. Marci has a background in K-12 education, where she has worked as an instructional assistant, after school program director and school counselor. While out in the field Marci developed a love for higher education and decided to join the admissions team at VU. Marci is excited about working at Vanguard and encourages students to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities Vanguard has to offer. In her spare time, Marci enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and trying new restaurants.
Marci works with all transfers, including transfer recruited athletes.
Lauren Riddle

Lauren was born in Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in California. She graduated from Vanguard University in December of 2008 with a B.A. in Business Administration. Lauren is the third generation in her family to graduate from Vanguard/SCC/SCBC. Attending Vanguard was one of the best experiences in her life. Lauren is married to the love of her life, Andrew, whom she met at Vanguard. He played on the Baseball team. Lauren loves being adventurous, going to the beach, shopping, and hanging out with close friends and family.
Lauren works with California freshmen from Imperial, Orange, and San Diego counties.
