The direct cost for a full-time, on-campus student (shown above in bold) is $17,917 per semester. These charges may change depending on meal plan selected, or if you need health insurance (all international students are required to take the university’s health insurance plan, there are no exceptions). All new students are charged the orientation fee their first semester only, and all on-campus students are charged the cleaning deposit; this can be completely or partially refunded upon moving out and after an inspection of your room.

It includes both directs costs (costs that will be charged by the school on a student’s bill) and indirect costs (other expenses incurred by attending school). The costs shown are for a student who lives on campus and attends VU full time. The cost of attendance for part-time students and students who live at home or off campus will vary from this.
