All Dressed Up and Ready To Go!

Who doesn’t love to get dressed up with friends? Or eat lots of delicious food? Or dance the night away? This is why one of the highlights of the year for upperclassmen here at Vanguard is Junior-Senior Banquet, JSB for short.

We spent weeks preparing (it was like a college mini-prom) trying to find the perfect dress, then the perfect accessories once the perfect dress was found, and of course the task of coordinating outfits with your date. The night before, we did a make-up and hair run through with much anticipation for the next day.

I went with a big group of my very closest friends and my date was my boyfriend, Ben. The venue was a really neat art gallery in Laguna Beach. There were delicious appetizers and the meal was full of trendy, and more importantly yummy, fusion food.

Two of our classmates taught us a dance that they had choreographed and we all had the chance to try it out to the music. While taking breaks from the dance floor we would pile in the photo booth or take a walk to the patios overlooking the gorgeous scenery.

That night was really great, it was the perfect way to get together with my classmates before we all go our separate ways for graduation. And, of course, it was a great date night for Ben and I. I couldn’t have asked for a better JSB experience!
